Howell-2057 and Ap Hywel-53 appear to represent the same person because: I believe these two profiles represent the same person, Maredudd ap_Hywel

Howell is the English rendition of ap_Hywel Please see <ref name=Wolcott>Darrell Wolcott, "The Muddled Pedigree of Sir John Wynn of Gwydir" (accessed June 12, 2017)</ref>

This one's wrong also. Hywel = Welsh name. Double ll is a different sound.

If I'm understanding Wolcott's article correctly, the Robert ap Maredudd who married Angharad ferch Dafydd (b c1415), was the son of Maredudd ap Ieuan; the Maredudd who married Morfydd ferch Ieuan Goch was Maredudd ap Hywel (see Darrell Wolcott's article, "The Muddled Pedigree of Sir John Wynn of Gwydir").

Morfudd Goch is wife of Maredudd b 1335, who is son of Hywel (b c1305) ap Dafyd

Evan & Ieuan are just different spellings of the Welsh for John

detached Efa Verch Ieuan (Ieuan-1) as mother.

dad b c1270, mom (wrong Efa attached) born c1280 - per Wolcott article: http://www.ancientwalesstudies.org/id115.html

update - nope. That Maredudd is son of Hywel ap Dafydd (b 1265) & this Maredydd (Howell-2057) is the son of Hywel (b 1270), brother of Dafydd (b 1265). Morfydd, who left a will dated 1416, is the wife of the other Maredudd (son of Hywel ap Dafydd b 1265) & her sons were Ieuan (d 1403) & Robert (pardoned 1408). ~ June 12, 2017

I think this is the Maredydd with son Ieuan d 1403 (brother Robert pardoned) in http://wbo.llgc.org.uk/en/s-WYNN-GWY-1300.html -

"During the revolt of Owain Glyndwr , Ieuan ap Maredudd ap Hywel ap Dafydd ap Gruffydd of Cefn-y-fan fan (later called Ystumcegid ) and Gesail Gyfarch supported the crown and d. in 1403 while defending Caernarvon castle against Glyndwr's forces; his brother, Robert , was one of Glyndwr' followers and received a pardon from Henry, prince of Wales, in 1408."
