Believed to have owned or leased part of the manor of Ventongimps. (From the Weekly Newspaper 7th August, 1857): The meadows in question were called Barn Meadows and Stone Hill; and they were part and parcel of the manor of Ventongimps in the parish of Perranzabuloe. This was an ancient manor; and it would appear that on it was an ancient tenement called Ventongimps and Gilberts, which had never been in the occupation of the Leys, but had been leased out from time to time to different parties. It would appear too that that tenement had been divided - one portion of it passing for many years as Clark's Moiety, and the other portion as Argall's.

DEATH: Death is assumed to have occurred 2 days before burial.

BURIAL: Burial recorded in INDEX TO BURIALS IN PERRANZABULOE 1682 - 1800. Perranzabuloe burial register, unusually prefixes his name with the title 'Mr.' indicating some status.
