Biography
William Frederick Armstrong was born on July 26, 1875 in Waubeek, Linn County, Iowa.[1] He was the son of TR Armstrong and Mary Nitch.[1] He married Maude Maxon on 12 March 1895 in Cook County, Illinois.[2] He and Maude raised their family in Chicago.[3][4][5] They had 5 children, 1 of whom died young; Helen, William F (or Willie), Ethel and Charles.[4] William (who had gone by Willie as a youngster)[6] was a house painter.[3] He later became a decorator in a paint store.[5] He died on April 18, 1936 in Chicago.[1] He is buried in Evergreen Park in Cook County, Illinois.[1]
