Biography

Edmund was the son of Charles Armstrong and Alice Murdoch.

  • He was Keeper of Irish Antiquities between 1914 and 1923 at National Museum, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.
  • admitted to Member, Royal Irish Academy (M.R.I.A.)
  • appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)
  • held the office of Pursivant of Arms in 1923
