Birth and Family
Alice was born in 1901. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Ashton and John R. Ashton. [1][2]
In 1920, Alice is 18 years old, her father John R. Ashton is 43, and her mother is 34 years old. They live in Ward Place in Washington D.C. and they own their home. John is a police officer. [3]
Her mother died, 1 November 1926 after a short illness. [4]
Marriage and Family
In 1930, Alice is married to Hardie Green (1902-), he drives a truck for a furniture store, and they have a daughter, Elizabeth, who is six months old. Her father is also in the home and listed as head of the family. He is a policeman. The family is living in Washington D.C. [5]
She and Hardie Green married on 21 November 1928 in Washington D. C.[6]
Alice's husband Hardie Green died on 16 September 1966. They had four children:
Alice Ashton, along with her father and mother, became a member of the Baha'i Faith in 1913[8][9]
Death and Burial
She passed away about? This will need Research. There is an Alice A. Green buried in Arlington Cemetery who died 1981, but this is probably not Alice V. Ashton Green.
