Marion was born in 1834. She is the daughter of Isaiah Atkins and Salome Grozer.

Research Notes
According to a publication from NEHGS, George Holman, Marion's husband, was the son of Isaac and Catharine (Kugler) Hallman of Providence Township, Montgomery Co. PA. He was born on 28 Dec. 1830 in PA and died on 18 May 1880 in Talca, Chile. He was a US consular agent at Talca. His brother was John W. Holman.
The couple had three children: George Ulysses Grant, Caroline Frances (1859-1909) and Emma Jane (1861-1933) who married William Scott of Weir, Scott & Co. in Talca. Southgate-301 01:50, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
