Biography
John Augustine is a part of US Black heritage.
John Augustine was born free about 1790. He is found on the roll of emigrants for the Ship Elizabeths Company leaving New York on 6 Feb 1820 and arriving Sierra Leone on 9 Mar 1820. He is recorded as 30 years old and traveling with his wife, Nancy and children. He and his whole family died of fever shortly after their arrival in 1820.
