John Austin was born 6 August 1893 and baptized 10 Sep 1893 at Theydon Garnon, All Saints, Essex, England^[1]

At the time of the 1911 Census, the family was enumerated at Coopersale Street Near Epping S E, Essex, England with parents Samuel Austin and Susan Oakley Austin. The children in the household were John Austin (19 yrs), Albert Austin (17 yrs), Hariet Austin (15 yrs), Bert Austin (11 yrs)..^[2]

On 30 March 1918, he married Phyllis May Anderson at Buckhurst Hill, St John the Baptist, Essex, England. ^[3]

John died at age 50 and was buried 19 July 1943 at Theydon Garnon, All Saints, Essex, England.^[4]
