Joannes Averihn was born on or a few days before 10 February 1660 in Markkotten Overin, Pye, Wallenhorst, Iburg, Osnabrück, Heiliges Römisches Reich, son of Friederich Averrien (~1634– ) and Anna Langenkampff (~1634– ).[1] He was baptised in the catholic church St. Alexander in Wallenhorst on 10 February 1660.[1] His godfather was Tepe Clausingk, and his baptismal witnesses were Margaretha Averins, and a Johan with a difficult to read last name (needs reading aid).[1]

His siblings were:

  1. Jodocus Averrihn (baptised 11 December 1662)
  2. Alhedis Averin (baptised 20 February 1664)
  3. Fridericus Averin (baptised 4 January 1668)
  4. Angela Averin (baptised 30 November 1674)

[2] Their witnesses were Bernardus Piesberg and Joan in der Heyde.[2]

Joannes died on 7 January 1724 in Pye, aged about 63.[3] He was buried in the catholic church cemetery St. Alexander Wallenhorst.[3]
