Horace Whitney Avery was born 8 Jul 1815, son of Elisha Avery and Nancy Whitney.
He married:
1) Nov 1841 @ Granby, CT, Elvina Hayes [b. 9 Apr 1816 @ Granby, CT, daughter of Electa (Stebbins) & Phineas Hayes]; they had 2 children.
2) 24 Sep 1885 @ Springfield, MA, Adeline Farnsworth [b. 23 Mar 1828 @ Halifax, VT, daughter of Annie (Nichols) & Joseph Farnsworth, widow of Charles J. Sherwood].
