In the 1861 census David (age 18), Porter Edinr Glasgow Railway, was the boarder of Janet Sinclair at 1 Forth St, Edinburgh St Mary, Midlothian.[2].
On September 20, 1866, he married Babrara Somerville in Edinburgh[3].
In the 1881 census David (age 38), Railway Station Master, was in Station Masters House, Urr, Kirkcudbrightshire. He was living with wife, Barbara S(35) and 66 year old, aunt, Catherine Paterson[4]
In 1891, he was 48 and living with his wife, children and mother-in-law at 15 Station Rd in Kircudbrightshire.
In the 1901 census David (age 58), Railway Agent, was in Station Road, Morton, Dumfriesshire with wife, Barbara(55) and daughter, Maggie(17).[6].
David died on 28 November 1917 in Castlecary.[7]. There is a question mark about whether this is the correct David but it does state that he is a retired railway cleark which appears to fit. If you have further information please let the profile manager know.
