Catherine, daughter of George Bain & Elspet Morrison, was born on 9 September 1835 and baptised on 20 September 1835 in Cullen, Banff, Scotland.^[1]

Catherine married William Mitchell on 20 December 1859 in Peterhead, Aberdeen, Scotland.^[2] In the 1861 census, Catherine (age 25) was the wife of William Mitchell at 19 North St, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.^[3]

In the 1891 census, Catherine (age 56) was the wife of William Mitchell at 27 Commerce St, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.^[4] In the 1901 census, Catherine (age 65) was the wife of William Mitchell at 4 Broad Street, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.^[5]
