When Isabella Palmer Ball was born on 3 March 1838 in Launceston, Tasmania, her father, George, was 31, and her mother, Isabella, was 25 [1]. She married James William Stuart on 31 January 1863 in Brisbane, Queensland [2]. They had six children in 10 years. She died on 4 December 1899 at the age of 61 [3][4].
