Volunteered 30 May 1846 at Clarksville, the apparently volunteered again 19 Jun 1846, at Austin, both times for 6 months, as a mounted rifleman in frontier defense. Commissioned captain of Co. D, 3rd Texas Mounted Volunteers, under Col. William C. Young. Appears on muster-out roll as captain, 3 Sep 1846 at San Antonio.

Enlisted as a private in Adams' Co., Chevallie's Bttn, Texas Mounted Volunteers, in the War with Mexico.

Buried: Rader Cemetery, Kaufman, Kaufman County, Texas.[1]
