William was born[1] in 1872. Although over age, he lied about his date of birth and enlisted[2] in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Dec 1916. Discharged in 1919, he died[3] in 1924. William is buried[4] in Caledonia, Queens, Nova Scotia.
