Biography

Joseph was born about 1804[1][2]. On 27 Dec 1838, he married Hannah Ward, daughter of John Ward and Clarissa Johnson[3][4]. In 1871, Joseph, Hannah and four of their children appear in the Census[5] (listed as "Bancks") residing in Sandy Cove, Digby. He died in 1877[6].
