Biography

Abraham was born in 1766. He is the son of Hendrick Banta and Maria Stryker.

Research Notes

The Low Dutch tract lay in Henry County on Six Mile Creek about the modern R.R. Station, Pleasureville. It consisted of between 6000 and 7000 acres. About 1827, the Dutch Tract hive began to swarm. A colony settled in Johnson Co., Indiana, and built the first Presbyterian Church in Franklin, Indiana. There are Mercer Co. deeds recorded to:
