1850 Francis Barclay age 13 is listed on the Irish Famine Passenger Record on Aug. 23, 1850 in New York City, New York, United States. He departed from Liverpool, England and his destination is the USA. He is accompanied by his parents and eight children all presumed to be his siblings. The name of the ship he traveled on is Washington.[3]
1867 Around this time Francis marries Agnes Neilson in Ontario, Canada.[4]
1871 Francis age 35, listed as head of household with his wife and their three year old daughter. Their home is Innisfil, South Simcoe, Ontario.[4]
1874 Francis's wife Agnes dies on April 24, 1874 a few days after the birth of their son Francis Irving.[5] Francis Irving Barclay also dies a few months later.
1881 Francis is listed as head of household with his wife, his daughter and another young female relative. Their home is Innisfil, South Simcoe, Ontario.[7]
1901 Francis age 65, listed as a lodger, Widowed (he may actually be divorced from Josephine) in the household of his son-in-law John Cowan with his daughter and his two grandchildren. Also listed are two young boarders. His occupation is a Gentleman. Their home is Innisfil, Simcoe, Ontario.[8]
1909 Francis dies on Nov. 19, 1909 in Innisfil, Simcoe, Ontario.[9]
His burial place is uncertain. He is presumed to be buried at Six Line Cemetery in Innisfil, Simcoe, Ontario near his first wife and other family members.
