Biography

Jane (Barker) Patrick was born in Yorkshire, England.

Jane married John Patrick in Pontefract, Yorkshire, in 1789.^[2] They had 12 children baptised in Pontefract between 1789 and 1814:

John worked as a butcher. He died in 1816 and was buried in Pontefract.^[15]

In 1841 Jane lived on North Baileygate. She was of independent means.^[16] At the time of the 1851 census, she lived with her daughter, Elizabeth, and family on Mill Lane in Pontefract.^[17]

Jane died in 1852^[18] at the age of 82 and was buried in Pontefract.^[19]
