Glenn was born in 1915. He was the son of William Barlow and Effie Pennell. On 10 Aug 1938 he married Lydia Ellen Smith. They had one child, a son, Roger. He passed away in 1957 when he drowned in Wilson Creek after a jeep he and two of his friends were driving went out of control on a bridge about 2.5 miles from where he was found. He is buried at the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
