Leland was born in 1947. He was the son of Leland Barnes and Irene Partlow. In the 1950 census Leland (age 3) was the grandson of Lucille M Partlow in Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana, United States.[1]
Leland (age 20) married Nancy Mabel Losey on 20 October 1967 in Shelbyville, Shelby, Indiana, United States.[2]
Leland later lived in New Iberia, Louisiana. He remarried to Vaunda Lee Richmond.
Leland died at age 41 when he was shot at 3 a.m. Saturday morning, 7 May 1988, at 933 Center Street, Carencro, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. Davis Reed (age 38) of the same address was booked for murder charges, and the shooting was described as domestic related.[3]
