Barnett Families of Steele Creek Area, and others of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina - The Price Family papers show that Thomas Spratt Barnett born 1742 and died 1828 in York County, South Carolina (near the North Carolina/South Carolina line) probably just SW of what is now Pineville, married possibly 1st to Nancy McKnight and 2nd to Ann Graham, sister of General Joseph Graham. Thomas Spratt Barnett was the son of William Barnett and Mary Spratt (sister of Thomas Spratt). Thomas may have been a brother to William Barnett born about 1730. Thomas Spratt Barnett's will was written in York County, South Carolina on 05/05/1828 and is Case #9, File 376 of York Couny, South Carolina. Known children of Thomas Spratt Barnett and his 1st wife, Nancy McKnight were: 1. William Barnett died without children. 2. Mary Barnett married Samuel McKee. 3. Katherine (Catherine) Barnett married 05/30/1800 to Isaac Henrey (Henry). Mary and Katherine were twins.
