Biography

John Christian (II) Barnhardt was born on March 25, 1786, on Cold Water Creek in Cabarrus, North Carolina. He was the son of John Matthias Bernhardt and Anna Margaret Bushardt. He married Mary Sarah "Elizabeth" Lentz in 1815 in Cabarrus County, NC. They had 13 children in 20 years. He died on September 1, 1854, in Cabarrus County, NC, at the age of 68.
