John was born in 1790, son of Matthew Barrett.
John married about 1811 to Mary Hanly (1791-1856).
Children included:
John inherited the lease to Finnor House (and the entire townland) from his father, Matthew.
The Barrett family held the lease to the whole townland of Finnor, Killummod parish, and acted as agents for their landlord Capt. Robert Caddell. [1]
John died in 1844.
