When Jessie Winifred May Barron was born on 21 June 1906, in Auckland, New Zealand, her father, John Thomas Barron, was 27 and her mother, Annie Sophia Hewitt, was 23.
She married Marcus Lawrence Hutton on 28 March 1928, in Mercer, Franklin, Auckland, New Zealand.[1] They were the parents of at least 1 daughter.

She died on 7 April 1973, in Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand, at the age of 66,[3] and was cremated in Hamilton Park Cemetery, Newstead, Waikato, New Zealand.[4]
