Geoffrey was born in 1887. He was the son of William Barss and Florence Payzant.[1]
The 1891 Canadian census lists Geoffrey as a 4 yr old, Nova Scotia born, Baptist adherent, living in Dartmouth NS. [2]
He was studying medicine in 1912.[3]
He served in the First World War, initially as Medical Officer for the 19th battalion Durham Light Infantry, and later as captain in the R.A.M.C., for which service he was twice mentioned in dispatches. He married Eda Clara Janes in 1918.[4] He passed away in 1967.[5]
