Reuben was born about 1825.
Reuben was married May 24, 1849 to Cassy Ann Reed. [1]
He appears in the 1850 census in Rusk, TX. The household includes: Reuben P Barton M 25 South Carolina Cairy Barton F 18 Alabama[2]
He is listed in the census in Parker, Texas in 1860 with his family: B Baton M 37 South Carolina, C Barton F 30 Alabama, V Barton F 9 Texas, J Barton M 5 Texas, T Barton M 3 Texas, S Barton F 0 Texas.[3]
Reuben passed away about 1862.[4]
