Graveside services for Sam Houston Baskin, Canton, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 3, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Edgewood, with Dr. Gene Lindsey officiating, under direction of Herschel Lybrand Funeral Home, Wills Point.
Mr. Baskin died October 31, 2000, in Canton.
He was born October 26, 1903 in Canton to the late Needham George and Tommie Price Woodward Baskin. He lived in Albuquerque, N.M., for 60 years, where he was the owner of an auto trim shop. He moved to the Canton area in 1995.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Tommie McManus, in 1993. Van Zandt News, Sunday, November 5, 2000.
