Biography
Mary's was under the age of 21 when she married James Pooley in 1814. James died in 1834. Her brother John Bastian emigrated to the US in 1840. Mary Pooley and most of her children also migrated to Jo Daviess Country, Illinois from Crowan, Cornwall, England in 1850 and settled near Scales Mound.
