Biography

Harry Bruce Bruce Bauchmoyer was born on 15 June 1886 in Ohio.^[1] He was the son of John Bauchmoyer and his second wife, Nancy Jones.

He had a step-nephew also named Harry Bruce Bauchmoyer (1895-1973), who was about 9 years younger.

In 1900, Harry (age 13) was living with his mother, Nancy Banchmoyer (age 55), in Mifflin, Franklin, Ohio. He was listed as a student. His brothers Frank and Elmer were also in the household.^[2]

In 1910, Harry (age 23) was still living with his mother, Nancy Bauchmeyer (age 65), in Mifflin, Franklin, Ohio. His brother Elmer was also in the household. His occupation was listed as carpenter. ^[3]

In June 1917, Harry registered for the draft for World War I, in Franklin County, Ohio. His marital status was listed as single. He was employed as a carpenter.^[1]

By 1930, Harry and his wife Esther L. (age 26) were living in Tulsa, Tulsa, Oklahoma, with their son Alvin (age 4/12). His age was not filled in with a number. His birthplace was listed as Ohio. His occupation was listed as carpenter.^[4]

In 1933, Harry Bauchmoyer and his wife Esther were listed in the 1933 Tulsa city directory.^[5]

By 1940, the family had grown. Harry (age 52) and his wife Esther (age 34) were again found in Tulsa. They had three children: Alvin (age 10), Harold (age 8) and Iva (age 6). Harry's birthplace was listed as Ohio and he was employed as a carpenter.^[6]

In 1942, Harry registered for the draft for World War II. His home was in Tulsa.^[7]

Harry Bauchmoyer (age 79) died on 6 February 1966. He was identified as a retired carpenter.^[8] His last residence was in Rogers, Oklahoma.^[9] He was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Claremore, Rogers, Oklahoma.^[10]

• No birth or christening record for Harry has been located. More research is needed.
• Some of Harry's birth information says he was born in 1886. The 1900 census has July 1886 as his birth. Later documents say 1887. Clarification is needed.
• Harry has not been found in the 1920 census. More research is needed.
• An Oklahoma death record for Harry should be obtained, if possible.
