Biography

Matthew was born in 1842. He is the son of Catherine Unknown and William Baxter of Dromore.

Matthew Baxter worked as a Labourer in Cabra Glebe.

Matthew married Grizzi Anderson on 10 November 1863 at the Conwal Parish Church witnessed by John Hegarty and Charles (Chas) Anderson. Both were of Full Age. Six children were born in the marriage, all born and baptised at Churchill.

Matthew Baxter died in 1877 aged 35 at Treanbeg. His death was registered at Letterkenny. Griselda was present and informant of his death.

In 1896 Grizzie emigrated to Philadelphia with their son William and his family.

Grizzi was the daughter of Robert Anderson of Cabra Glebe. She died in Philadelphia in 1923.
