Biography
Elijah was the son of Ferdinand Beam and Rebecca Mobley. He passed away in 1886.
Elijah was born about 1822 likely in South Carolina as he first reported on the census and close to Georgia where his presumed younger brother Meredith was born. This is despite the 12 Aug 1812 birth date on his tombstone on FAG. In Mississippi he was enumerated next to his presumed brother Meridith Beam on the state 1860 census.
Although his middle initial F was on the 1850 census, no records were found showing Fiester as the middle name which is only shown on FAG. His paternal grandmother's maiden name was Feaster so that spelling was used.
