Lloyd W. Beardsley, 77, of Monroe, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Fountainview of Monroe in Monroe, Michigan.
Born on March 15, 1940 in Minnesota, he was the son of Donald and Muriel (Christsen) Beardsley. On August 13, 1982 he married Carol K. Holland in Monroe, MI.
He was employed with Airport Public Schools as a teacher for 28 years, retiring in 2004; he was also a police officer in Carleton for 26 years, retiring in 2007 and 1st Base Security at Tiger Stadium.
Lloyd loved being with his children and enjoyed games of chance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Diane Beardsley and son, Robert Beardsley.
Surviving are wife, Carol K. Beardsley of Monroe; sons, John David Beardsley of Westland and Louis LaBelle of Newport; daughters, Laura (Lou) Bellon of Southgate and Karen (Jeff) Zajechowski of Brooklyn; brother, James Beardsley; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. [Monroe News, 25 Aug 2017]
