- Lloyd W. Beardsley, 77, of Monroe, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Fountainview of Monroe in Monroe, Michigan.
- Born on March 15, 1940 in Minnesota, he was the son of Donald and Muriel (Christsen) Beardsley. On August 13, 1982 he married Carol K. Holland in Monroe, MI.
- He was employed with Airport Public Schools as a teacher for 28 years, retiring in 2004; he was also a police officer in Carleton for 26 years, retiring in 2007 and 1st Base Security at Tiger Stadium.
- Lloyd loved being with his children and enjoyed games of chance.
- He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Diane Beardsley and son, Robert Beardsley.
- Surviving are wife, Carol K. Beardsley of Monroe; sons, John David Beardsley of Westland and Louis LaBelle of Newport; daughters, Laura (Lou) Bellon of Southgate and Karen (Jeff) Zajechowski of Brooklyn; brother, James Beardsley; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
