From The History of the Town of Catherine, Pgs. 428 -429: (excerted)

Michael, youngest son of Abraham Beardsley, son of John, son of Joseph, born 1740, married, according to the genealogy, Eunice, daughter of Capt. John Mallette, and by the "History of Four Counties," Esther Nichols, so he may have been married twice. In the Catharine Cemetery is a stone to Eunice, wife of Michael (d. Mar. 25, 1820, age 76). Both are buried there. He had five sons and one daughter: Luke, Lewis, David, James, Elias, and Polly or Paulina. Polly was bom Nov. 2, 1786, married Amos Bonny, who was supervisor of the Town of Catharine in 1818. That is all known of Polly.

He and his brothers bought land and began to clear up the heavily timbered forest, and for many years endured hardships and privations of the new country. David was a man of untiring energy and remarkable enterprise (so says the "History of Four Counties"), and was identified with many of the most important material improvements of the then thinly settled country, among them the Odessa Grist Mill, and the Lawrence Homesteads at Kayutah Lake.
David married Parmelia (d. Feb. 9, 1858, age 83), daughter of Zachariah Clark of Fairfield, Conn. There are only three children given: Lewis, Michael, and Lucius.
i. Lewis (I) (called so because James, brother of David, also named his son Lewis, born the same year), born Mar. 4, 1796, at Fairfield, Conn.; d. at Catharine, N. Y., Mar. 27, 1885; came to Catharine with parents and worked on father's farm. Married (1) Mar. 11, 1827, Nancy (1801-1867), daughter of Zachariah Lewis, and they began their married life in a log house in Beardsley Hollow.
