Biography
Angus Beaton (48) is a widower on the 1881 census with his children; Alexander (17), Allan (15), John A (12), Flora (10), Sarah A (8), Catherine (6), Doanld (3) and Alexander (1).[1]
John Cameron, son of Donald, born in 1874, married Catherine Beaton, daughter of "Aonghas an Taillear," with issue: a. Annie Belle, b. Mary Agatha, c. Margaret, d. Sara, e. John Angus, f. Donald, g. Lorette and h. John Francis. He died at his home in Mabou on February 29th, 1948. We are indebted to Mr. and Mrs. Cameron for material on this and other families.[2]
