Nancy Elvira Beaver was born 22 Nov 1855 in Shelby County, Ohio, the daughter of John William Beaver and Lydia Shaffer. Nancy was the fifth of ten children. Aside from a brief period around 1870 lived in Darke County, Ohio, Nancy lived her entire life in Shelby County.
She married John William Wilkerson, the son of Richard James Wilkerson and Frances Anne Logsdon/Logston, on 10 Oct 1875 in Shelby County, Ohio. Nancy and John had three daughters: Mary Anna, Lydia Fietta, and Frances Pearlette. John died of tuberculosis 30 Nov 1885.
Nancy married William B. Cowan, a bachelor, on 25 Apr 1896 in Shelby County, Ohio. Nancy and William had no children. Nancy died 21 Jun 1933 and William died 17 Feb 1935. They are both buried in Pearl Cemetery in Shelby County, Ohio.
