Mary Ann Beck was born on 19 September 1855, in Butler, DeKalb County, Indiana, USA, to Joseph Beck and Suzanne (or Susanna) Smith. She was the oldest of four children, with two sisters and one brother. She married Jesse Rufus Craun on 4 April 1885, in Butler Indiana. They had four children: Elsie, Lula, Charles, and John. She died on 22 December 1927, in Toledo, Lucas, Ohio, USA, at the age of 72. She was buried in Oregon, Ohio.
Per her death certificate, Mary Ann Beck was born in Butler, Indiana. However, the informant is not a name I recognize, and this is not consistent with census data, including that as early as 1860, when she was listed at age 4.
