Biography
Annie Mae Beene was born April 27, 1895 to Samuel Jackson and Sallie Bell (Wright) Beene in the Carter Community, Parker County. She lived on Beene Hill where her Father was a farmer.
When she grew up and met William Henry Moody, just over the hill at the Moody Farm of James Archie Moody. They married and had two children; Viola Bertha and Samuel Waymon Archie Moody and then in 1921 all the Moody's moved to Collingsworth County, Plymouth, North of Wellington, Texas.
James A and Mary Francis Bradley had 2 sons in Mississippi and came to Parker County and two sons born in Parker County and all five families moved to Collingsworth County and later in 1921 all moved back to Parker County, with William Henry and family staying in Plymouth to rear their two children born in Parker County. They had two more boys born in Collingsworth County.
Conley Lee and James Edward Moody were the two sons and then James went to WWII and in 1945 was killed in action in February.
Annie Mae died on May 10, 1945. She greaved herself to death over James Edward beening killed in Action. She was buried in Memorial Garden Cemetery.
