Catharine Begg is a member of Clan MacDonald.

Katharine "Beg", daughter of Peter Beg and Katharine Smith, was born about 1817 and baptised in Watten, Caithness, on 6 March 1817.[1]
In 1841 Catharine Begg was living in Houstry of Dunn, in the parish of Watten, Caithness, with her parents on the family farm. Also recorded with her on the census return were her siblings Andrew, William, Peter, Jean and Margaret. A William Sinclair (presumably a farm labourer) was also listed as living with the family.[2]
