Biography

Charles was born in 1900. He was the son of Claude Beisel and Minnie McGlothlin.

On his World War I Draft Registration Card Charles was living in Tensas County, Louisiana. He was described as being medium in build, tall in height and that he was born on August 21, 1900.[1]

Charles married Dorothy Miller on June 25, 1923 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana.[2]

Charles married Leo Naoma Chastain on November 2, 1931 in Sarasota County, Florida.[3]

Charles passed away in 1941.[4]

Obituary

Former Resident Dies of Accident
Charles Edward Beisel, 40, native of Lafayette, was electrocuted at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Tampa, Fla., where he was employed as a structural iron worker. No details of the accident were available.

Born here, he was a son of Claude L. and Minnie (McGlothlin) Beisel, both deceased. He worked at the Ross Gear and Tool company here and also for Masters Motor company, leaving here 12 years ago.

Surviving are the widow and a daughter, Claudia, at home.[5]

Charles Beisel Funeral Today
Funeral services for Charles Beisel, 41, local ironworker who was electrocuted in Davenport last Tuesday while working at a canning company addition, will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon in the Baynard chapel.

Co-workers said Beisel, who has been a resident of St. Petersburg for 18 years, was killed when the metal framework he was working on came in contact with a high tension wire.

Beisel, who lived here at Haines road and Fifty-sixth avenue north, was a native of Texas and came here from Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife and a daughter, Claudine, both of St. Petersburg.

Burial will be in Memorial park.[6]
