Biography

Obituary Cyrus B. Bell was born in Guernsey county, Ohio, January 7, 1825, and departed this life August 31, 1899, aged 74 years, 7 months and 22 days. When 9 years of age, in company with his parents, four brothers and two sisters, he moved to Logan county, where he resided up to the time of his death. Nov. 29, 1856, he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah J. Hamilton. To this union was born nine children, six sons and three daughters; also, 21 grandchildren, all of whom survive him. He never connected himself with any organization, but in his daily walks has shown himself to be a model citizen, kindly dealing out justice to all with whom he came in contact. His charity was of the broadest order; the distress of the needy he always relieved at whatever cost to himself. He recognized God as the great Creator and Ruler of Heaven, earth and the mighty universe; and with a strong faith in His grace he had a hope in the future, and if called feared not to die - East Liberty. ^[1]
