There are two William Fairleys living in this area at this time. The older one is Mary Bell's husband. His nephew is also William Fairley and is married to Jane Belle, Mary's sister. Their children have many of the same names and are often conflated. When this happen's Mary Bell often becomes Mary Jane Bell and the Williams are made one person. This is an easy mistake to make, one often suggested by "helpful" AIs on other genealogy websites. Proceed with caution.
