Biography

• Father: Jacob Franklin Beller; mother: Sarah Ann Gunter
• Sarah Katherine was born March 14, 1853 in Barber County, Kansas. She was the fifth of eight children. Sarah was named after her mother and was known as Kate. Her mother died around 1865 (this is an unsourced claim,) after the birth of her brother Owen, who did not survive. Grandma Kate wrote down her early memories for us and said that after the death of her mother the kids were sent to live with relatives. Kate met her husband Andrew at a boarding school in Kansas. She died March 1, 1925 in Los Angeles, California. She was buried in Pueblo, Colorado with her husband.
