Died as the result of an automobile accident.

Obituary:^[1] "Mr. Bendett was born in Russia 29 years ago, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bendett. He came to this country when one year old and has made his home in this city during the greater part of his life, but lived in Montville for a number of years during his early life. He attended the schools in Montville and was later graduated from Mt. Pleasant Street school in this city.

About six years ago he was married in Schenectady, NY...

Mr. Bendett was a meat buyer and had been employed by the Mohican company as buyer for the Norwich, New London, and Westerly stores for some time....As a young man he was greatly interested in sports, playing on and managing football teams in this city."
