Conflicting names and dates for what I believe are the same person:
Obituaries of mother Rose Bendett and brother David Bendett both refer to Mrs. Charles Weiss of Porstmouth, VA.
The census records for Charles Weiss of Portsmouth VA call his wife Mae or Mamie and show ages that could make her born anywhere between 1884 and 1886.
The marriage record of their daughter Rosalie gives her mother's name as Mary Bendett.[1]
This would match up with Mary (b. 1884) in the 1900 Census records for her family of origin, but there's also a Minnie b. 1886.
But then Charles appears to be buried with Marsha Weiss 1885-1952.[2]
The name Marsha Bendett Weiss repeatedly shows up in a May Yarzheit list for a synagogue in Washington, PA -- which is where daughter Rosalie was in the 1940 census.[3]
