Arthur Claud Berlyn was born in 1907 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. He was the son of John Aaron Berlyn and Emily Charlotte Gaul.
Arthur died on 4 February 1937 in Singapore at the age of 29. His death was the result of a self inflicted gunshot wound aboard "Medway".
