Biography

According to her obituary, Lillian Jane "Lillie" Best was one of two twin daughters born to George W. Best and Amanda Holman Best in Ray County, MO, near the town of Taitsville.

Her obituary said she married William Groshong in 1901. With him she had twin daughters, Lillian and Jennie. Jennie married Mr. Vivian.

According to her obituary, Lillie was a teacher and a talented musician. She lived nearly her entire life in Missouri; she spent the last 5 years of her life with her daughter Jennie in Superior, MT. It is here that her daughter Willie died as well.
