Biography

James Gray Bethune, son of John Bethune and Véronique Waddens, was born 1 Apr 1793 in Williamstown, Upper Canada. He was granted property due the son of a Loyalist by Order in Council dated 26 Jan 1807. [1]

He married 4 Feb. 1830 Martha Covert.

James died 13 Oct. 1841 in Rochester, N.Y., and was buried in Cobourg, Upper Canada.
