Thomas married Amelia ("Ann") BROWN, daughter of Thomas Bervin BROWN and Ann Sheargold MILLER, in 1854 in Colony of Victoria. ^[6]

   A man named Thomas Betts, 54 years of age, died suddenly at his residence, James street, Ballarat East, on Thursday. The district coroner held an inquest on the body on Friday, when it was ascertained that death arose from natural causes.
