Biography
The parents of Dora Ashby Bird were Alexander Bird and Clara Gee Walden. Clara died in 1902 when Dora was only 2 years old. She was adopted by her father's sister Sarah Esther 'Ettie' Bird and her husband Charles Vercoe. Dora then became known as Dora Ashby Vercoe.
